    ARTICLE RESEARCH

    After planning out my front cover and contents page I conducted out some research to prepare me for my interview. I looked at websites and other interviews to help me how to set up mine.
    The band I am going to be interviewing for my double page spead is The Guardians. Guardians are a well know band around the Wirral area, having multipul inbterviews and articles about them. They were currently known as Hippys on the Hill until september this year, so most articles and interviews that I have found in my research are under their previous name.

    Searching through the internet I found various interviews and artciles on them. Here are a few amongst many that I thought were the best articles:

    http://www.last.fm/music/Hippys+On+The+Hill

    http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool-entertainment/music/music-news/2011/10/28/guardians-sign-up-for-wirral-international-guitar-festival-100252-29674837/

    Guardians also have pages of there own;

    http://www.facebook.com/GuardiansUK

    I want my double page spread to consist of one whole page taken up of a picture of the band, then on the opposite page, three columns of text on the interview.

    Here is an example of what I want my double page spread to look like. I think that the layout of the cloumns and where the drop quote is positioned looks really intriging and could reflect on my band well. I want my picture to cover one whole page like this double page spread, I also like the idea of a controverisal quote layered onto the picture as it makes the page look more interesting. People will go straight to these quotes as it is the first thing they will see on the page, this should make them more intriged to read the rest of the article.

    MUSIC MAGAZINE QUESTIONNAIRE RESULTS AND CONCLUSIONS

    Here are my Questionnaire results and conclusions on a slide share powerpoint.

    QUESTIONNAIRE RESULTS SPREADSHEET

    Here is a screenshot of the spreadsheet which I put all of my questionnaire results on to. I did this so I could view my results before I put them into charts and graphs and did all of my conclusions. This made it easier for me to organise my results into charts and graphs.

    MY MUSIC MAGAZINE QUESTIONNAIRE

    Here is a copy of my music questionnaire. I chose these certain questionnaires so I could get an overview of what people really want for their magazine. I asked how often people would buy a magazine and how much they would pay so I dont over charge or undercharge, and that I dont publish my magazine maybe too much that people wouldn't look forward to buying it. I asked general questions about what people do in their spare time and what type of magazine they would usually read, to help me with some feature articles that I could use which could be on what people are interested in. Because I will want to have gig reviews ect, as regular content, I asked where people would normally go see an artist and what their favourite artist is so that I know what bands people would be really interested reading about. At the end I asked for age and gender so that I can see what audience I need to focus on and what age group are really interested in my music magazine.
